Mild quakes jolt Surigao anew

MANILA, Philippines - Two mild earthquakes jolted parts of Surigao del Norte yesterday.
The first tremor, with a magnitude of 2.5, hit at around 12:13 a.m. Its epicenter was traced three kilometers southeast of Libjo town.
A magnitude 3.2 quake struck two kilometers southwest of Surigao City at around 1:32 p.m. It was felt at Intensity 2 in Surigao City.
On Feb. 10, a magnitude 6.7 quake rocked Surigao del Norte, leaving eight people dead. Aftershocks continue to hit the province and nearby areas.
