Motorists urged to avoid road repair projects

Robertzon Ramirez - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines -  Motorists going through Quezon City should look for alternate routes to avoid road repair projects that started Friday night and will end tomorrow morning, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said over the weekend.

Motorists heading towards southern Metro Manila should take Balintawak-EDSA or Quirino Highway to avoid road repairs on Mindanao Avenue.

The MMDA said Mindanao Avenue Bridge to Tandang Sora Avenue is under repair.

Another project is being done on Commonwealth Avenue from Don Jose to San Simon streets and on Quirino Highway from Mindanao Avenue to Bernardino street.

For westbound motorists, road repairs are underway on Congressional Avenue Extension fronting a gasoline station at the Miranila Gate.

The MMDA said road repairs are done from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. the next day.

Last week, the MMDA, Department of Public Works and Highways and the Department of Transportation  banned road repairs during the day.
