MANILA, Philippines -  Technology firm Cirtek Holdings Philippines Corp. (CHPC) has bagged three new contracts from global semiconductor companies, further boosting its cashflow.

Cirtek Electronics Corp. (CEC), the wholly owned semiconductor assembly and test suppressor subsidiary of CHPC, was chosen by UK firm Bourns to manufacture package power transient voltage suppressor devices or PTVS and transient blocking unit products or TBU.

TBU is also a surge protection device for industrial and automotive battery management protection. PTVS is a unique diode protection device designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment by absorbing high energy transients such as those from indirect lighting strikes.

Bourns will supply the manufacturing equipment under its agreement with CEC while the latter will provide dedicated space and personnel.

CHPC said the arrangement is in line with Bourn’s global initiative to consolidate its outsourcing of high value products to reliable and competitive business partners who can deliver competitive price points and has the ability to quickly respond to high volume requirements if the market so demands.

“We are honored to have been selected to support Bourn’s PTVS project. Our partnership spans more than 10 years and we appreciate their longstanding trust in our product and service quality execution. We will continue to provide innovative and efficient solutions to support our customer’s growth and success,” Jerry Liu, CHPC chairman, said.

Craig Shipley, Bourns Communications Division general manager said the company will continue to expand its partnership with CHPC as it consolidate its operations and continue to grow its semiconductor business.

“The team of Cirtek has earned a strong reputation for high quality, strong operational and engineering performance and high customer service,” Shipley said.

CHPC  has also been selected by two top 10 largest global semiconductor integrated device manufacturers or IDMS to manufacture microelectromechanical systems or MEMS and protection devices for commercial applications that is estimated to generate a combined $2.5 million annually of new revenue.

CHPC is the holding company of CEC and Cirtek Electronics International Corp. (CEIC) collectively known as the Cirtek Group.

Through its subsidiaries, CHPC is primarily engaged in two major activities namely offering complete manufacturing solutions for value-added, highly integrated radio frequency, microwave and millimeterwave technology products, smart antenna systems and providing full service/turnkey solutions including water probing, wafer back grinding, assembly and packaging and final testing of semiconductor devices.

The company’s products cover a wide range of applications and industries including communications, consumer electronics, power devices, computing, automotive and industrial.
