VP Leni pinag-resign sa Gabinete ni Duterte

MANILA, Philippines – Pinagbitiw na sa Gabinete ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte si Vice President Leni Robredo.

Ito’y matapos makatanggap daw ang kampo ni Vice President Robredo ng text message mula kay Cabinet Sec. Jun Evasco Jr., na nagsasabing ‘wag na siyang dumalo sa lahat ng Cabinet meetings simula sa Lunes alinsunod sa utos ng Pangulo.

Sa inilabas na pahayag ni Robredo, epektibo ngayong Lunes ang kanyang pagbibitiw bilang Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC) chair kasabay ng pagsusumite nito ng resignation letter.

“This is the last straw, because it makes it impossible for me to perform my duties. Hence, I am tendering my resignation from the Cabinet on Monday, December 5, 2016. With this resignation, you can expect that I will continue to support the positive initiatives of this administration and oppose those that are inimical to the people’s interest,” pahayag ng statement ni Robredo.

Kinumpirma naman kagabi ni Evasco na mismong si Pangulong Duterte ang nag-utos na huwag nang dumalo si VP Robredo sa mga pagpupulong ng Gabinete simula ngayong Lunes.

Nilinaw ni Evasco na ang kautusan ay mula kay Pangulong Duterte dahil sa “irreconcilable differences” o hindi na pagkakasundo na malabo nang maayos.

Sa kabila nito, hindi idinetalye ni Evasco ang sinasabing “irreconcilable differences” nina Pangulong Duterte at VP Robredo.

Ayon naman kay Robredo, isa sa mga dahilan ay ang magkasalungat na pananaw o pagkakaiba ng prinsipyo at ugali nila ni Pa­ngulong Duterte.

Sinabi rin ni Robredo na gumugulong na ang plano na agawin ang kanyang puwesto hanggang sa mapatalsik siya bilang bise presidente.

Ito ay may kaugnayan na rin umano sa electoral protest ni dating senador at dating VP candidate na si Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. na natalo ni Robredo.

Gayunman, hindi uma­no nito hahayaan na maagaw ang kanyang pagiging vice president ng bansa at ipagpapatuloy na matulungan ang mga pamilyang Pilipino.

Nauna rito, naging vocal si Robredo bagaman nasa Gabinete siya sa pagsalungat nito sa Duterte administration dahil na rin sa paglilibing kay dating Pangulong Ferdinand E. Marcos, extra judicial killings, pagbabalik ng parusang bitay, pagbaba ng edad ng mga nakakasuhan ng criminal at pag-atake laban sa kababaihan.

Gayunman, kapwa mayroon anya silang mandato na pagsilbihan ang mamamayan.

“I will not allow the will of the people to be thwarted. I will continue to serve the Filipino family and fulfill their dream for a better life,

“We had hoped this day would not come. I had been warned of a plot to steal the Vice Presidency. I have chosen to ignore this and focus on the job at hand. But the events of recent days indicate that this plot is now being set into motion,” saad pa ng pahayag ni Robredo.
