Duterte nanindigang huli na ang 2016 Phl-US Balikatan
MANILA, Philippines - Pinanindigan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na huli na sa kanyang termino ang gaganaping joint military exercise sa pagitan ng US at Pilipinas sa susunod na buwan.
Iginiit ni Pangulong Duterte kahapon pagdating mula sa 2-day visit sa Hanoi, Vietnam na ang gaganaping joint military exercise sa October 4-12 sa pagitan ng US forces at AFP ay huli na sa kanyang termino.
“I don’t know if that treaty would take some form. But in my term, yes. I would not be using my entitlements as commander-in-chief. I would simply say that is the foreign policy,” paliwanag pa ni Duterte upang wakasan na ang mga implikasyon at pagdududa.
Aniya, wala namang naganap na palitan ng kagamitan, operasyon sa ginanap na mga war games.
“And you can ask the military... They asked for a joint maneuvers, operations and yet there is no capability between the weapons and armaments they use and even in the communications. Walang capability. It’s all soiled clothes. They do not share,” dagdag pa ni Pangulong Rody.
Wika pa ni Duterte, nawalan din ng silbi ang biniling FA-50 figther jets ng Aquino government dahil ayaw namang bentahan ng US ang Pilipinas ng missiles nito.
“Sabi nila bugok daw ako kasi hindi ko alam na the jets were made in Korea... That was outsourcing. Kanila rin yan. You cannot buy the planes there without the blessings of... May eroplano tayo but [they] don’t allow us to buy the missiles. What will be the point?” dagdag pa nito.
