DOJ ibinasura ang reklamo vs pulis, airport staff sa ‘tanim-bala’

MANILA, Philippines – Ibinasura ng Department of Justice (DOJ) ngayong Huwebes ang reklamo laban sa apat na pulis at dalawang airport personnel kaugnay ng umano’y “tanim-bala” scam.

Walang nakitang probable cause ang DOJ upang kasuhan ang mga kawani ng  Philippine National Police Aviation Security Group na sina Marvin Garcia, Maria Elma Cena, Chief Inspector Adriano Junio, SPO4 Ramon Bernardo , SPO2 Romy Navarro at SPO2 Rolando Clarin.

Inireklamo ng American missionary Lane Michael White ang mga tauhan ng paliparan matapos umano siyang taniman ng ebidensya sa paglabag sa Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

"It is, therefore, imperative for the prosecutor to relieve the accused from the pain and inconvenience of going through a trial once it is ascertained that no probable cause exists to form a sufficient belief as to the guilt of the accused," nakasaad sa resolusyon ni Associate Prosecution Attorney Honey Rose Delgado.

Sinabi ng abogado na walang malinaw na ebidensya na tinaniman nga ng bala si White.

“We believe complainant White that the .22 cal ammunition found inside his luggage is not his. However, we cannot say with certainty that it was respondents Cena and Garcia who inserted or placed the ammunition inside complainant's luggage."

Setyembre ng nakaraang taon nang haranguing sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 4 si White matapos makitaan ng bala sa kaniyang maleta.

Limang araw ikinulong sa PNP detention center si White dahil sa hindi pagbabayad ng P30,000 kapalit ng kaniyang paglaya.
