AFP pabor na makulong si Palparan sa kampo ng militar
MANILA, Philippines – Payag ang militar na makulong sa Intelligence Service ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (ISAFP) headquarters sa Camp Aguinaldo si retired general Jovito Palparan Jr. upang matiyak ang kaligtasan niya.
Inaalala ni ISAFP chief Maj. Gen. Eduardo Año ang limang rebelde na makakasama ni Palparan sa Bulacan Provincial Jail kaya naman pabor siya sa paglipat ng dating opisyal.
“There is an imminent threat posed by the CPP-NPA (Communist Party of the Philippines – New People’s Army) on the life of Gen. Palparan. He deserves his day in court hence his safety must be ensured,” komento ni Año.
“It is really recommended that he should be detained either at the PNP (Philippien National Police) Custodial Center or at the AFP (Armed Forces of the Philippines) Custodial Center,” dagdag niya.
Aniya, nakahanda sila na tanggapin si Palparan oras na iutos ito ng korte.
“If ISAFP is tasked to take him into custody, our service is ready to secure him while he attends to his case in court.”
Nahaharap sa kasong kidnapping at serious illegal detention si Palpara dahil sa pagkawala ng dalawang estudyanten ng University of the Philippines na sina Sherlyn Cadapan at Karem Empeno noong 2006.
