Ormoc hosts Leg 2 of Philippine Archery Cup
CEBU, Philippines — At least 110 participants are expected to be in Ormoc City, which is hosting for the first time the second leg of the Philippine Archery Cup from September 21 to 24 at the oval of the City Central School.
The cup is organized by the World Archery Philippines and would have been held last July, but was postponed because of the July 6 earthquake. The tourney follows the World Archery rules of 2012.
To introduce also more young people into the game, the organizers will hold a free clinic for 7-10 year olds, with the use of improvised bows from PVC pipes during the training. After the tourney, all sports equipment used will be donated to the city. (FREEMAN)
