Pacman to bare next fight, venue

MANILA, Philippines - Manny Pacquiao will decide and then announce in the next few days who to fight next and where the fight is going to take place.

“Maybe the end of next week we’ll have a statement,” Pacquiao’s personal adviser, Mike Koncz, told The STAR yesterday by phone.

That’s all Koncz could say for now, amid reports that Pacquiao is also looking at fighting British star Amir Khan in the United Kingdom in April.

Before that, the stars were pointing to Brisbane and then the United Arab Emirates as venue of Pacquiao’s first fight for 2017, following his impressive win over Jessie Vargas last November.

If April 23 holds as the date of Pacquiao’s next fight, then the 38-year-old icon has exactly two months from today to prepare hard for Khan, Australian Jeff Horn or someone else.
