Mojdeh, Cabral at Lopez MOS sa Thailand meet

MANILA, Philippines -  Tatlong Philippine Swimming League (PSL) tankers ang ginawaran ng Most Outstanding Swimmer (MOS) awards sa 2017 Thanyapura Swimming Championship na ginanap sa Thanyapura Swimming Pool sa Phuket, Thailand.

Nanguna sa listahan si Immaculate Heart of Mary College-Parañaque standout Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh na humakot ng anim na gintong medalya para makuha ang top honors sa girls’ 9-10 category.

Nagreyna si Mojdeh sa 200m individual medley, 50m freestyle, 50m butterfly, 200m breaststroke, 50m freestyle at 100m butterfly tampok ang mga bagong Philippine national junior records sa tatlong events.

Napasakamay din ni Diliman Preparatory School tanker Lee Grant Cabral ang MOS trophy sa boys’ 9-10 class matapos walisin ang anim sa kanyang events.

Nakuha ni Cabral ang ginto sa 50m freetyle, 200m IM, 50m butterfly, 100m freestyle, 100m butterfly at 200m freestyle.

Itinanghal ding MOS si Sofia Beatriz Lopez sa girls’ 11-12 nang sumisid ito ng apat na pilak at dalawang tanso.

Bahagi rin ng koponan sina DPS Athletes of the Year awardees Albert Sermonia 2nd na nagbulsa ng isang ginto at dalawang pilak sa boys’ 11-12 event at Paula Carmela Cusing na umani ng tatlong pilak sa girls’ 13-14 division gayundin si Julian Lazaro ng Isabela na may isang ginto, isang pilak at dalawang tanso.

Sa kabuuan, humakot ang PSL ng 14 ginto, 10 pilak at apat na tansong medalya upang lampasan ang 14 gintong nakamit ng bansa noong 2015 edisyon ng torneo.
