Bayan: Counter-insurgency ipaundang

CEBU, Philippines — Pagpaundang sa counter-insurgency plan sa administrasyong Duterte ang gisinggit sa mga militanteng grupo nga nag-rally kagahapon.

Matud sa chairman sa Bayan-Central Visayas nga si Jaime Paglinawan nga buot nilang ipaundang ang counter-insurgency plan sa mga sakop sa Armed Forces of the Philippines ug Philippine National Police.

Sumala pa niya nga pipila na ka mag-uuma ang nakabsan sa ilang kinabuhi human sila pasanginling mga sakop sa Communist Party of the Philippines-New People's Army (CPP-NPA).

Nunot niini, magpakitabang usab sila sa Commission on Human Rights.

Si CHR-7 chief Investigator Leo Villarino nibutyag nga andam silang moimbestigar sa mga pasangil sa mga militanteng grupo.

Samtang  si Police Regional Office-7 Director, Chief Supt. Jose Mario Espino, nitataw nga walay angay ikahadlok ang publiko sa ilang lakang batok sa mga armadong grupo.

"The target of the insurgency plan if there is one will surely not be the farmers or fisher folks but the CPP-NPA members identified by both the AFP-PNP. They should not worry of the AFP-PNP plan but the activities of the CPP-NPA in their barangays that might disrupt their peaceful place," matud ni Espino.

Gitataw sa maong opisyal nga dili angayang undangon ang ilang plano tungod kay kalinaw ang tumong niini.

"Until there are threats of tactical offensive from the CPP-NPA, we continue with our existing plan against their threats. The best defense is offense," dugang ni Espino. (BANAT NEWS)
