CEBU, Philippines — Suspetsado sa pagpatay kang John Ronli Calizar, anak sa kanhi reporter Ferliza Contratista nga si Jessie Largo ang napatay human nisukol sa mga operatiba sa Regional Special Operation Group-7 kagahapon sa hapon diha sa Sitio Aromahan, Barangay Dumlog sa mao gihapong dakbayan.

Matud pa ni Supt. Jason Villamater nga nakadawat sila og impormasyon kabahin sa presensya ni Largo hinungdan nga ila kini giadto apan pagsulod pa lang nila sa lugar girakrakan sila niini ug naigo sa nawong si PO3 David Naraja nga sakop sa RSOG-7.

Diha-diha nibawos og pabuto ang mga polis hangtud nga naigo si Largo ug napatay. Nakuha sa iyang tupad ang usa ka KG-9 submachine pistol ug usa ka kalibre .45 nga pistola.

Matud pa ni Villamater nga   gamay kaayo ang  balay ni Largo. Aduna say taytayan sa luyo niini padung sa sapa diin gi-parking ang duha niini ka pumpboats nga gituohang iyang gamiton kun moikyas. Dako ang pagtuo ni Villamater nga namista si Largo niadtong Domingo apan adunay nakasigpat kaniya.

Sa laing bahin ang pamilya ni Ronli mas gusto unta nga buhi si Largo kay makahatag pa kini og daghang impormasyon.

“We, the family of the slain John Ronli Calizar are saddened by the way Jessie Largo has to meet his end.  He could have surrendered. We could have picked his mind as a victim of a society that has gone off. Or he could have enlightened the authorities about the dark world where he plays a huge part.  True, in our rage, we wanted immediate justice to be served.  But as time passed, we realized our problem is just a jagged tip of a submerged issue of crime, government accountability and community involvement. We realized Jessie alive has more value than when he is cold and dead,” matud pa sa pamahayag ni Ferliza, inahan ni Ronli.

Si Largo giingong nagselos kang Ronli tungod kay may relasyon kini sa iyang kanhi uyab ug iyaha kining gipatay sud mismo sa balay sa babaye samtang natulog ang biktima. Sumala pa nga si Largo hitman sa usa ka drug lord diha sa Talisay ug adunay mga pasangil nga may mga protektor kining mga polis, butang nga gihimakak sa kapolisan didto.  “Those who live with the sword shall perish with the sword. May those who are still wrestling with their consciences like Jessie, start to believe that somewhere somehow, a kind of justice will be served,” matud pa ni Ferliza.
