CEBU, Philippines - Dumaguete City will be sending a delegation to Davao City on Wednesday, July 26, for the inauguration of Cebu Pacific’s daily flights of Cebu-Davao and vice versa.

As head of the delegation, Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo and the entire delegation, consisting of city councilors, and City Tourism Officer Jacque Veloso, are expected to confer also with Mayor Sarah Duterte and other Davao officials during the inaugural ceremony.

Meanwhile on August 8, the Department of Interior and Local Government will also be conducting a simultaneous activity throughout the country and there will be simultaneous lighting of landmarks and other heritage structures throughout the Negros Island Region.

Remollo said Dumaguete City is fortunate to be included in the list of 50 cities all over the country as a venue of the simultaneous lighting activity.

The City Tourism Office chose the historical bell tower at the cathedral to be lighted on that day. (FREEMAN)
