MGC seeks PCYAA crown vs St. Jude
MANILA, Philippines - Makati Gospel Church-New-Life Christian Academy guns for a sweep and the crown as it battles defending champion St. Jude Catholic School in Game 2 of the fourth Philippine Ching Yuen Athletic Association basketball finals at the Uno High School gym today.
Gametime is at 6:30 p.m. with the New Lifers out to score a follow up to their 88-84 double overtime win in the opener of their best-of-three title series last Saturday.
Cedric Ho led the New Lifers with 26 points, including a buzzer-beating jumper to force the first overtime at 68.
Also shining for the New Lifers were Daniel Lim, Carl Ong, and Kyle Sy, who also hit a buzzer beater from way out to send the game into second overtime.
Ong completed a double-double for New Lifers with 25 points and 15 boards. Lance Chan, Calvin Uy, Matthew Ang and Adrian Pe paced the Judenites with 14 points each.
