MANILA, Philippines — Looking for something to do with your child this long weekend?

After a successful stationery and supplies fair last year, National Bookstore (NBS) returns with "Happy Space," a showcase of the best writing, crafts, paper, fine art, coloring, and school and office supplies, as well as toys.

Taking place at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati City from June 23 to 25, "Happy Space" features local and imported premium brands exclusive to NBS like Caran d’Ache, Itoya, Ooly, Sheaffer, ZipIt and more.

It aims to not only bring together everything one needs for the back-to-school season, but also offers crafting workshops for all ages. There are lots of exciting activities to enjoy, including contests and freebies.

Dot-to-dot art

Coloring books have been popular in recent years for both the child and the childlike. From coloring books comes another spinoff  also inspired by childhood activities - dot-to-dot arts. There are now adult journals printed with dots for those who want to create amazing images by connecting dots.

Paper arts

Through cutting shapes and origami or the Japanese art of folding, you can create giant displays that can serve either as party decors or year-round home accents.

Got so many office sticky notes? You can also create a mural with them!

Using the office paper shredder or puncher, you can also recycle paper by shaping them into small circles or strands then placing them into bottles as accent.
