Wanted American man nabbed while getting an NBI clearance
ILOILO CITY, Philippines — An American national, who has been hunted by the law, was arrested Tuesday morning when he tried to secure a clearance from the National Bureau of Investigation-Region 6 office at Fort San Pedro in Iloilo City.
The fugitive, 55-year-old Jack Thomas Allen, who hails from Hollywood, California USA, tried to secure an NBI clearance that he needed purportedly for opening an internet shop in the city. He was accompanied by his supposed employees when arrested.
When the NBI-6 made a run on his application, there was a "hit." After a check, the wanted man and Allen appeared to be the same person. The American initially denied he was the same Allen wanted in Metro Manila, but he later admitted that he was indeed criminally charged.
Reports from the NBI said Allen has a pending case for human trafficking and violation of Republic Act No. 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012), in connection with an internet pornography case.
Allen is now in custody of NBI-6 for disposition of his case. (FREEMAN)
