Talisay City bids out P35M projects

CEBU, Philippines - Talisay City bid out yesterday P35 million worth of projects that include the purchase of two units brand new garbage dump trucks, construction of school buildings, asphalt overlay at the landing area, road concreting and renovation of administration building.

 A Davao City-based supplier, JROG Marketing, won the contract to supply two units of brand new Isuzu dump trucks after posting the lowest calculated bid of P9,999,980. The contract has an approved budget of P13.2 million.

JROG representative has assured the city’s Bids and Awards Committee that it has a display center in Bogo City for them to inspect the units.

 Other suppliers, Sanvic-Lucky, has posted second lowest calculated bid of P11.4 million while RDAK Transport posted P11.6 million. RDAK in joint venture with ConEquip Philippines won the controversial P250-million heavy equipment deal at the Capitol.   

 Meanwhile, the contractor of the Tabunok Public Market also won the P13-million project for the construction of grandstand and classrooms of Talisay City Central Elementary School.

Tuanson Construction posted the lowest calculated bid of P12.98 million.

 Reporting that it has already completed 81 percent of the Phase 1 of Tabunok Market, Tuanson is also set to participate in the bidding of P113 million for the second and third phases of the project on March 9.

 The P2.643-million worth of asphalt overlay at the landing area was won by Gleymarks Construction, which posted the amount of P2.641 million, while the P2.2 million road concreting of Victoria Road in Tabunok was won by Armed Builders in the amount of P1.7 million.

 The P4.2 million repair of ceiling, exterior and interior and repainting of the  administration building of  Talisay City Hall was also won by Armed Builders. (FREEMAN)
