Alcoseba sizzles in Ceelin age-group swimfest

CEBU, Philippines - Raven Faith Alcoseba made her presence felt as she led the cast of winners in the Ceelin Plus Age-group and Novice Swim Meet yesterday at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu in Barangay Canduman, Mandaue City.

Alcoseba of Team Triton swam seven golds via the 13-15 class.

SHS-AdC’s Fredric Yuan Chiongbian, for his part, also had an impressive performance after dominating the boys 13-15 class with six golds.

Just like Chiongbian, Zurielle Kenzie Galo of Narwhal Swim team and Khrystian Tan of Panabo City also garnered six golds through the 8-under and 9-10 class, respectively.

Galo’s teammate in Bencynth Gail Luager reigned supreme in the girls 11-12 with four golds and a silver medal.

Tribohol's Alexandrei Noel Gallero harvested five golds and a silver to top the boys 8-under as another SHS-AdC bet Harley Jefferson Chua got five golds and two bronzes to rule the boys 11-12 division.

Maria Montessori International School's Juliet Sedeno topped the 9-10 class with three golds, one silver and one bronze medal.

Three Cabadbaran City tankers won their respective divisions under the novice class with Zoe Ramiel Bunga winning the 6-under class as Sophia Subla and Dean Andrei Diago topped the 9-10 and 11-12 class.

The other winners were Paul Solomon Ocampo (6-under), Frederick Wilhelm Kesner (7-8), Trish Aldene Dalimot(girls 7-8), Zoe Marie Villamor(11-12), Denise Kenji Rico(9-10), James Bond Fernandez(13-15) and Katrina Evardo in the girls 13-15 division.

Meanwhile, Narwhal Swim team was hailed as the champion team in both age-group and novice action.— (FREEMAN)
