Aquino sisters tour APEC leaders' spouses to historic Intramuros
MANILA, Philippines - Kris Aquino, together with her sisters Ballsy Cruz, Pinky Abellada and Viel Dee accompanied the spouses of leaders of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) member-economies on Thursday morning for a tour of Intramuros, Manila.
Aside from roaming around the 400-year-old Spanish walled city, the spouses of the leaders of Colombia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam were also entertained by music and dances from the Spanish colonial era. Kris shared a photo of one of the performances witnessed by the spouses on Instagram.
According to reports, the group made stops in Fort Santiago, San Agustin Church and Casa Manila before proceeding to lunch at the Marble Hall of the Ayuntamiento de Manila.
Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Ramon Jimenez Jr. was also present to join the tour.
Intramuros is in a state of security lockdown. It will be closed to public except for authorized persons and members of the APEC delegation until 8 p.m.today
