A culinary journey to Thailand

Marco Polo Plaza Cebu (MPPC)’s signature outlet Café Marco recently took its guests on an exciting culinary journey to the Land of Smiles via the event Thai Sojourn.
Led by general manager Brian Connelly, the event featured Thai chef Nontra-Udon Buapha from Marco Polo Prince Hotel, Hong Kong.
Carrying 38 years of experience in the kitchen, Buapha is known for his penchant for using local natural spices to create a variety of colorful, aromatic and mouthwatering Thai dishes, including his signature dishes — tom yum goong and Pad Thai. At the event, Buapha prepared traditional Thai dishes and desserts that selected media and “influencers” enjoyed.

A new torchbearer for Marco Polo Plaza Cebu
Marco Polo Hotels recently appointed international hotelier Brian Conelly as general manager of top-notch five-star hotel in the Queen City of the South, Marco Polo Plaza Cebu (MPPC). Conelly brings with him a world of experience in many leadership roles spanning over 38 years with prominent hotels and resorts in Asia Pacific, Middle East and the United States. “It is exciting to be on this beautiful island of Cebu,” Conelly said. “I look forward to continuing the success of the hotel and working with the team to grow and enhance the operation.”
