Celine, Givenchy, Dior, Valentino, Alexander McQueen, Dries Van Noten, Chloé, Junya Watanabe, The Row and Zero + Maria Cornejo seem to hold hands in this season’s international affair. Modern incantations seen on prints, silhouettes and designs echo adaptations of culture, traditions and history. Style is taking the past forward with an interesting display of modern silhouettes, amazing detailing and up-to-date colors.
Void of theatrics, these trendsetting pieces go beyond their “show†or editorial value that transcends from runway to the streets. Though it seems this must-have attraction is a declaratory cultural statement, the globetrotting appeal marks high on being wearable and is definitely style-stepping forward.
The “now†approach to this trend has a certain fusion of play and seriousness as it creates a look of distinction and an exemplary toast to individuality.
