Island Cove ventures into catering, events management
(The Philippine Star) Updated November 20, 2009 12:00 AM Comments (0) View comments

MANILA, Philippines - Island Cove Hotel and Leisure Park, the premiere business and leisure destination south of Metro Manila, is set to launch its catering business on Dec. 1.

Soon, Island Cove’s delectable cuisine will be offered at packages starting at P370 per person, exclusive of tax. Functions with a minimum of 100 persons and a maximum of 500 persons may avail of Island Cove’s catering service any day of the week.

Previously, Island Cove only catered to banquets and weddings held at the resort. But due to its clients’ clamor for a catering service, the decision arose for Island Cove to expand its business.

“We are excited to embark on this new facet of our business, wherein we will be able to bring Island Cove’s mouth-watering cuisine and event management outside the resort,” Island Cove managing director Gilbert Remulla said.

“Backed with 11 years of experience in handling corporate and banquet functions, concerts and events, we are very confident that this new venture will be a success,” he added.

Not new to the business of servicing banquets and events, Island Cove has catered to more than 5,000 persons at one time without sacrificing the quality of the food or service.

“The edge that we have in the business of social and corporate functions is our ability to be flexible in terms of party themes and food choices,” Island Cove director of sales and marketing Jona Agrazada said. “We offer the best packages at the best rates. To say the least, our service is superb.”

Island Cove is known to be a pioneer in the tourism industry with respect to the introduction of a multitude of attractions that lure both local and foreign visitors. The existing facilities available to its guests are the hotel, the Oceania Water Park, the Animal Island, the Island Songs KTV, the paintball arena and airsoft game site, the Fishing Village, the petting zoo, and the Island Spa. Island Cove’s other well-loved trademarks include the outdoor giant chess set, the playground, and concert park, just to name a few.

Island Cove Hotel and Leisure Park is ISO 9001:2000 certified and accredited by the Department of Tourism as a triple “A” resort. Located in the historic town of Kawit, Cavite, this Mediterranean-inspired 36-hectare island is only 45 minutes away from Manila.
